Varanasi: With the objective of spreading awareness among the general public about important health-related issues, the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University, is launching a health education lecture series. Prof Sanjay Gupta, head of the faculty of medicine, said that the objective of the lecture series is to promote awareness regarding timely identification of diseases, effective treatment at the right time, and prevention of illnesses through appropriate lifestyle choices and preventive measures.The first lecture will be held on Feb 10 at Swatantrata Bhawan, BHU, where Prof Lalit Prashant Meena, head of the department of general medicine, IMS, BHU, will deliver a lecture on “Hypertension: Awareness, Prevention, and Control”.
