Varanasi: The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will host its 111th foundation day on Friday.According to the BHU spokesperson, the ceremony will begin at 7 am with a puja by university Vice-Chancellor Prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi at the foundation stone site. Following this, Saraswati Puja will be held in various hostels. A grand procession will be held on the campus, in which the university’s various schools, colleges, faculties, centres, units, and institutes will showcase their academic achievements and distinctions through tableaux. The Vice-Chancellor and other guests will observe the procession.The theme of this year’s foundation day celebration is Continuity in Wholeness. The VC will flag off the tableau procession at LD Guest House Crossing. The grand celebration will feature a total of 31 tableaux from across the university, showcasing BHU’s academic, cultural, scientific, artistic, and social diversity. The tableaux will present a vivid picture of the university’s rich tradition and creative energy.
