BENGALURU: Three armed men entered a jewellery shop at Dasanapura, Nelamangala, Tuesday evening and escaped with Rs 50,000 in cash and 30 grams of gold.Shop owner Manikya Ram told police the men walked into Ramdev Jewels around 6pm, pretending to be customers interested in buying a pair of earrings. One of them showed a sample and asked for a similar design. When told it was not available, one of the three men suddenly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the staff.Despite attempts to resist, the jewellery store staff were overpowered and the trio grabbed the cash and gold before fleeing towards Nelamangala.“We collected CCTV footage from the shop and nearby areas. The suspects rode a motorcycle — one man wore a helmet while the other two had uncovered faces. One of them displayed what we suspect was a toy gun,” a senior police officer said.
