Kanpur: A video from a private bank in Kanpur showed a female employee, identified as Astha Singh, behaving inappropriately with customers and verbally abusing a customer inside the bank premises, though the authenticity of the video was not confirmed by TOI.The footage showed Astha saying, “I am a Thakur… I will mess you up,” and attempting to hit the customer with a laptop. The incident occurred at a private bank in Panki Sector-2, where Astha worked.
After the video went viral, another clip emerged in which Astha, a Relationship Manager, offered her explanation and claimed the video was being shared out of context. She said she did not misbehave with any customer but had a conflict with the husband of a female contractual employee at the bank who had provoked her by questioning her caste, which led to her angry reaction.
