HAPUR:An FIR has been registered against Mahmuda Begum, a Bangladeshi national accused of residing illegally in Hapur after allegedly obtaining Indian documents under a false identity.According to police, Mahmuda Begum entered India from Bangladesh on February 3, 2021, on a three-month visa, according to news agency ANI.

However, she allegedly overstayed and later secured fake documents in Hapur under the name “Begum Rani.” Officials said she also married a local resident, Mohammad Mashruf, during her stay.An FIR has been lodged against both Mahmuda Begum and her husband, Mohammad Mashruf, in connection with the case. During a search operation, police recovered visas, passports, Bangladeshi currency, two SIM cards, and other documents from their possession.
