Guwahati: Assam governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya said Viksit Bharat is a mission given to the youth of the country to realise the inner potential of our great nation.He added that, to make India developed by 2047, every student, entrepreneur, innovator, technocrat, professional and public servant should work and contribute.
Speaking at a programme organised on the theme ‘Viksit Bharat and Youth’, held at Phanidhar Datta Seminar Hall in Gauhati University on Saturday, Acharya said, “We cannot build Viksit Bharat by slogans. We need to encourage skill-building, entrepreneurship, discipline, digital literacy and civic responsibility.” He appealed to educational institutions to incorporate into their curriculum courses that help students nurture 21st-century relevant skill sets.Lok Bhavan, Assam, under the leadership of governor Acharya, launched Seva Sankalp Saptah. On this occasion, a programme named ‘Viksit Bharat and Youth’ was organised, where a series of competitions, such as essay, elocution and poster-making, were held on Guwahati University’s campus.
