Aspirants move CM seeking resolution of CGL portal snags

Bhubaneswar: Applicants of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination conducted by Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) wrote to chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi and chief secretary Anu Garg on Tuesday seeking resolution of technical snags in the CGL portal. In their letter to the CM, chief secretary and OSSC chairman, they said that the application portal was not opening properly, and submission of forms and related documents faced repeated errors. They further pointed out that in many cases, the application fee of Rs 500 was deducted from the bank accounts of applicants, but the form remained incomplete or unsuccessful. The CGL examination is scheduled in March for appointments to Group B and C posts. The application process started last month and will continue till Jan 21.“Besides, there is no edit or correction option in the application portal, due to which applicants are unable to rectify inadvertent errors in their forms,” alleged Sunil Mishra, an aspirant. The aspirants sought immediate measures to fix the technical snags in the portal and extension of the application submission deadline, besides providing an edit option. An OSSC official said they are reviewing the snags and corrective measures will be taken.
