Mumbai: Congress corporator Ashraf Azmi has been elected as the leader of the Congress party in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).Speaking after his election, Azmi said the party would focus on key civic issues affecting Mumbai, with air pollution high on its agenda. “Large-scale redevelopment projects, construction activity and road repair works are causing severe inconvenience to citizens, particularly due to rising dust pollution in several parts of the city,” he said.
