Pune: Troops of Southern Command and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) recently concluded a two-week joint training programme at the Aundh Military Station in the city.It aimed to strengthen inter-agency coordination and enhance preparedness against evolving security challenges. The initiative forms part of sustained efforts to foster jointness and align operational capabilities with national security priorities.The training brought together personnel from both forces for focused, intelligence-led preparedness. Officials said the capsule helped participants understand contemporary intelligence challenges and the need for coordinated responses in an increasingly complex security environment. The initiative significantly strengthened joint preparedness, enhanced synergised operational readiness, and reinforced a cohesive, resilient and future-ready security framework.Intensive scenario-based drills were conducted to validate tactical procedures, strengthen communication protocols, sharpen decision-making, and refine response mechanisms to deal with real-world contingencies with speed and precision, officials said.The drills were designed around realistic threat scenarios, enabling both forces to test interoperability, standard operating procedures and command-and-control mechanisms in a simulated operational environment. Such joint training, officials said, were critical for ensuring swift and coordinated responses, particularly in situations involving sensitive installations and high-risk security challenges.
