Jaipur: For Applied Mathematics board exam for Class 12, students said that one must prioritise topics from the syllabus and cover it accordingly.Nandita Jain, a Class 12 student from Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, said that she prioritises topics related to financial maths and probability and is preparing accordingly.

She said that her approach is to put greater emphasis on high-weightage units. She also prefers marking important and frequently asked questions and revising them during subsequent study sessions. For formula-based chapters, she emphasised thorough formula revision and practising a variety of questions to understand correct formula application.“I regularly practise case study-based questions to strengthen application-oriented understanding.

I also make sure to practise competency-based multiple choice questions with emphasis on conceptual clarity,” said Jain.She said that after practising questions, she makes sure to analyse the errors in MCQs and case-study questions to reduce repeated mistakes. Along with analysis of mistakes, she ensures regular practice of previous years’ questions and CBSE sample papers under timed conditions to prepare herself for the examination day.
