Alwar: Two persons were killed and another injured when a speeding SUV overturned near Jayagaon under the Rajgarh police station of Alwar district Friday. Police said the accident occurred when the injured, Vivek Gurjar (28), was being abducted by relatives of a woman he had married a few months ago against her family’s wishes.The sequence of events leading to the fatal crash began around 1pm, when Vivek, a resident of Khedli Chandawat village, was on his way towards Butoli on a motorcycle. Police said the moving two-wheeler was rammed into by the SUV, throwing Vivek off, after which two men in the vehicle forced him inside and drove off at high speed.The SUV overturned soon after near Naya Gaon Machadi, killing one Ramphool Gurjar (50), and the vehicle’s driver, Rajendra Prasad Chaudhary (50), besides seriously injuring Vivek.Police said Vivek had a love marriage with a woman three months ago against the wishes of her family members, and both families have issued claims and counterclaims against each other ever since. Neither family impacted by the accident has so far filed an official complaint.Post-mortems of both the deceased have been completed, police said, and further action in the case remains pending till the filing of a complaint.
