Gorakhpur: Urging people not to worry, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday directed officials to handle every complaint with sensitivity and ensure speedy, transparent and effective redressal. The chief minister, who arrived in Gorakhpur late Monday evening and stayed overnight at the Gorakhnath Temple, met people during the Janata Darshan programme on Tuesday morning. Listening patiently to each grievance, he reviewed applications one by one and reassured the complainants that they need not worry as every issue would be resolved.
Around 200 people presented their problems during the programme. The Chief Minister personally approached those seated, enquiring about their place of residence and the nature of their complaints.On land encroachment complaints, Yogi ordered strict legal action. Several applicants sought financial assistance for the treatment of serious illnesses. Assuring them of full support, Yogi said that lack of funds would not become an obstacle to medical care. He directed officials to promptly obtain hospital estimates and forward the cases so that adequate assistance could be sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund.He also interacted warmly with children who had accompanied their families, encouraging them to attend school regularly and focus on their studies. He also distributed sweets among them.The CM later visited the cowshed, affectionately calling the cows by name and feeding them roti and jaggery. A peacock also approached him at the cowshed, and the CM fondly fed the bird as well.
