Vadodara: The All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO) on Friday submitted a memorandum to the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), demanding action against the Dean of the Faculty of Arts for allegedly stopping a programme to commemorate the birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose.The student outfit alleged that on Friday, marking the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji, members were prevented from offering floral tributes near the arts faculty canteen.AIDSO secretary Ayush Kulshreshtha alleged that the dean personally objected to the commemoration, demanded a written apology from him, threatened him over his PhD studies.Daculty dean Kalpana Gavli, however, said, “As per protocol, organizing a programme within the faculty mandates permission. Posters were displayed without approval, and hence the programme could not be allowed,” she said.
