Ahmedabad: Stone hurled during row injures Paldi woman

Ahmedabad: A 51-year-old Paldi woman was injured after being hit near the eye by a stone allegedly thrown during a dispute in a residential parking area on Monday evening, police said. In her complaint to Paldi police, she said the incident occurred around 7.30pm when an argument broke out between two residents over the parking lights. Several residents, including the complainant, reached the spot after hearing the commotion. She alleged that when her father asked why the lights were switched off, the two men began abusing him. During the scuffle, one of the men allegedly picked up a stone and threw it at another resident, but it struck the complainant above her eye. She was taken to SVP Hospital, treated, and later discharged. Police registered a case for grievous assault and abetment under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
