Ahmedabad: Man driving rashly abuses constable, flees

Ahmedabad: An SRP constable has filed a complaint alleging rash driving by a motorist near the Shahibaug underbridge. The complaint was registered with Madhavpura police on Saturday. The complainant, Kalpesh Patni, 40, is a resident of Asarwa. In his complaint, Patni stated that around 11.15am on Saturday, he was riding his motorbike towards Science City when a black SUV allegedly tried to overtake while he was ascending the Shahibaug underbridge. Patni said the car came dangerously close, forcing him to brake suddenly to avoid a collision. He alleged that driver rolled down his window glass and hurled abuses at him. He rode ahead to a nearby traffic point and asked the driver to pull over. The motorist fled the spot when Patni told him he was a cop. Traffic police personnel present at the spot photographed the car, Patni later filed a complaint. TNN
