Each in-charge will supervise one parliamentary constituency and all urban local bodies within its geographical limits. Local MPs and MLAs will be consulted, and candidates will be shortlisted and finalised based on social justice, winnability and other considerations. Mahesh Goud appealed to party leaders and cadres in urban local bodies to resolve internal differences and extend full support to candidates who receive the Congress B-form. Other ministers appointed as in-charges for municipal elections include N Uttam Kumar Reddy (Nizamabad), Damodar Raja Narasimha (Mahbubnagar), Tummala Nageswara Rao (Karimnagar), Ponnam Prabhakar (Mahabubabad), Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy (Warangal), Jupally Krishna Rao (Peddapally), Seethakka (Bhuvanagir), Adluri Laxman Kumar (Nalgonda), Vakiti Srihari (Nagarkurnool), G Vivek Venkatswamy (Medak), Konda Surekha (Khammam) and D Sridhar Babu (Chevella). Govt advisor P Sudarshan Reddy has been named in charge of the Adilabad parliamentary constituency and the urban local bodies within its limits.
