Patna: Anticipating heavy footfall on Mahashivratri (Feb 15), the Patna district administration on Saturday issued a detailed traffic plan as multiple religious processions will start from different parts of the city from 3pm and converge at the Khajpura Shiv Temple on Bailey Road.To ensure smooth movement, general traffic will be diverted across key stretches, with only ambulances, fire tenders and other emergency vehicles allowed on restricted routes.Vehicular movement for general vehicles will be barred on Nehru Path (Bailey Road) from the Dumra TOP turn below the Raja Bazar flyover to Jagdeo Path. City riders and CNG buses travelling from Rukanpura towards Zoo Gate No. 1 will have to use the flyover instead of the road below. Autos and commercial vehicles heading from Jagdeo Path towards the airport, Income Tax roundabout or Patna Junction will be diverted south at the Jagdeo Path intersection towards Phulwari Jail.Small vehicles moving from Bailey Road towards Digha, Rajiv Nagar or Ashiana will be diverted at Pillar No. 4 near Ambedkar Path and routed via Maurya Path. Vehicles travelling from Dumra TOP on Bailey Road towards the west will be redirected towards the Airport West Gate and then through Phulwari Jail and Jagdev Path.Commuters coming from the east towards Ashiana or Digha on Bailey Road must use the Raja Bazar flyover, proceed to the Rupaspur bridge, take a U-turn and return via Ambedkar Path under the flyover.Additionally, vehicles arriving from Ashiana–Digha Road towards Bailey Road in either direction will be diverted at the Passport Office towards Ambedkar Path, or from the Jagdeo Path intersection towards Phulwari Jail.
