Ahmedabad: Adani Power on Tuesday said its subsidiary, Moxie Power Generation Limited, received a letter of award from Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited for the supply of 558MW (net) for five years, strengthening its contracted capacity portfolio.Moxie Power, which operates a 1,200MW (2x600MW) plant at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu, emerged as the lowest bidder in a competitive tender by quoting Rs 5.91 per unit. Supply under the power purchase agreement will commence from April 1, 2026.With this award, both units of the Tuticorin plant are now tied up under power supply agreements. The company said over 95% of its 18.15GW operational capacity is secured under medium- to long-term contracts.The additional 558MW is expected to bolster Tamil Nadu’s power availability, support grid stability, and ensure reliable supply to households and industry at a competitive tariff.
