Panaji: The two-day central working committee meeting of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) began in Goa on Saturday at Shri Damodar Sansthan, Zambaulim. On the first day, discussions focused on campus irregularities, unethical fee hikes, and hostel conditions.National general secretary Virendra Singh Solanki said, “Goa is not only geographically significant but also holds historical importance. ABVP has expressed its concern over irregularities in educational campuses across the country, unethical fee hikes, and the condition of hostels. To address these issues, a ‘hostel survey campaign’ will be launched nationwide from Feb, through which ground realities will be brought to the forefront and concrete interventions will be undertaken.”A total of 106 delegates are participating. It was inaugurated by president, Raghuraj Kishore Tiwari, Virendra Singh Solanki, and organising secretary Ashish Chauhan. Solanki said that in the 2025–26 academic session, 77,25,508 students took ABVP membership, the highest since expansion phase.
