Kolkata: The Calcutta HC on Wednesday expressed its displeasure over the absence of state govt’s lawyers for yet another day during the hearing of a petition related to overcrowding of prisons, pending since 2017, and fixed next hearing for Thursday.A division bench of justices Debangsu Basak and Md Shabbar Rashidi observed that the hearing was being repeatedly adjourned because of non-appearance of lawyers.
