Prayagraj: Kaushambi police on Sunday arrested a criminal, wanted by Charwa police in the case of a minor boy’s murder. The criminal, Suman Prakash, a resident of Ratgaha, was evading the police for past seven months and carried a Rs 15,000 cash reward on his head.A woman, Ramni of the same village had lodged an FIR against six persons, including Suraj, Vijay, Rohit and others, on Aug 20, 2025. She had accused them of killing her grandson when he was returning after consulting a doctor on Aug 19. The Charwa police arrested five of the accused while Suman was absconding.Meanwhile, Paschim Sarira police arrested a notorious thief, Saleem Ahmed, a resident of Ugrasenpur, and seized a TV set, a sound system and Rs 5,360 cash from his possession, on Sunday. Five criminal cases were pending against him.
