Sports Desk, New Delhi. The mini auction of players for IPL 2026 was recently completed. IPL mini auction was held in Abu Dhabi on 16 December, in which 77 players were sold. There were 29 foreign players in it. 10 franchises together spent Rs 215.45 crore on 77 players.

Amit Mishra has declared Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad and defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore as playoff contenders. The former leg spinner also said that Gujarat Titans is also strong, so it is possible that any four out of these five will qualify.

Let us tell you that Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore had prepared their strong teams in retentions before the auction. KKR and SRH prepared strong squads through the auction.
KKR bought Cameron Green for a record Rs 25.2 crore. Apart from this, KKR added Mathish Pathirana, Mustafizur Rahman, Rachin Ravindra, Finn Allen and Tim Seifert. Akashdeep and Rahul Tripathi also became part of KKR.
SRH bought Liam Livingston for Rs 13 crore. Orange Army already has strong batsmen like Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen.
