Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. During this, he requested to approve proposals worth Rs 4915 crore for various works in the state.
He has requested the Prime Minister to provide an assistance of Rs 3500 crore for the grand and divine Haridwar Ardh Kumbh to be held in the year 2027 and to invite the Prime Minister to the mountain Mahakumbh i.e. Nanda Devi Rajjat ​​Yatra to be held in the year 2026, as well as to provide financial assistance of Rs 400 crore for the infrastructure facilities during the Yatra.
In his meeting with Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi on Monday, Chief Minister Dhami requested the Prime Minister to provide funding through CSR for infrastructure development as per the Master Plan of Haridwar Ganga Corridor, Rishikesh Ganga Corridor and Sharda Corridor in Champawat like Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham.
He urged to approve the DPR of Rs 1015 crore sent by the Uttarakhand government for undergrounding the HT and LT power lines in Rishikesh and Haridwar as well as automating the power system under the RDSS scheme.
The Chief Minister urged to issue necessary guidelines to establish Udham Singh Nagar NEPA Farm in Uttarakhand as a semi-conductor hub, to set up a semi-conductor industry, to extend the Regional Rapid Transit System between Delhi and Meerut to Haridwar and to include provision for route construction in the Tanakpur-Bageshwar and Rishikesh-Uttarakashi rail projects.
He urged the Prime Minister to get the proposal related to Chaurasi Kuti in Rishikesh approved by the National Wildlife Board to bring it back to its original form.
The Chief Minister has requested to take the Pindar Kosi Link Project, prepared to connect snow-fed rivers with rain-fed rivers, under the special scheme. He also requested the Prime Minister to give permission for the development of five hydro power projects with a total capacity of 596 MW as per the recommendations of the committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Union Cabinet Secretary.
