Reproached for skipping school, 12-yr-old boy ends life in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Banjara Hills police are investigating the death of 12-year-old Md Affan Khan, who was found dead at his residence in Syed Nagar on Wednesday.According to a complaint filed by the boy’s father Irfan Khan, the Class V student had skipped school for three days and had been playing games on a mobile phone. “I spoke to my son on Tuesday and told him he had to attend school, as exams were nearing. I convinced him to go,” Irfan told police. Around 12.15 am on Wednesday, family members found the boy unresponsive. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead at 12.55 am. Police registered a case of suspicious death.Those battling suicidal thoughts are urged to call 100 for counselling.
