Lucknow: Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak and BJP city president Anand Dwivedi inspected the voter list revision work at a special camp organized at booth number 350, Ambedkar Shiksha Niketan, in Lucknow Cantonment assembly constituency on Wednesday. They also assisted the people in filling up the voter form. Pathak directed officials and BJP workers to ensure that no eligible citizen is deprived of getting their name added to the voter list. The deputy CM also established communication with voters by making door-to-door contact.Pathak said new voters are strong partners in the nation’s future. “Every eligible citizen’s name being added to the voter list is a symbol of strengthening democracy,” he said. While making citizens aware of the importance of voting, Pathak visited homes of newly registered young voters, felicitated them and motivated them for active participation in the democratic process.
Anand Dwivedi said a special campaign is being conducted by the party at the booth level on Feb 25 and 26 on the call of state leadership. Under the campaign, special emphasis is being laid on filling Form-6, error correction, name transfer and deletion of deceased voters’ names, so that the voter list remains completely accurate and updated.
