Varanasi: Prof M A Quraishi, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and former head and professor of chemistry department at Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), was conferred lifetime achievement award by Nagaland University in recognition of his outstanding and sustained contributions to corrosion science, particularly in development of environmentally benign green corrosion inhibitors.The award was presented by Prof G D Yadav, Padma Shri awardee and former Vice-Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology, during inaugural session of the international conference on chemistry in multidisciplinary research, held from Feb 18 to 20. Prof Quraishi was consistently ranked among top 2% scientists of the world by Stanford University, US, since 2019. TNN
