Jaipur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Tuesday arrested a block development officer (BDO) from Sawai Madhopur while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.The accused, Jagdish Prasad Meena, was posted as BDO at Panchayat Samiti Sawai Madhopur and held additional charge as district project manager (DPM). He was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe by the bureau’s Jaipur-based City-First unit during a sting operation, officials said.
Director general of police (ACB) Govind Gupta said the bureau received a complaint alleging that Meena was demanding Rs 1 lakh each from the complainant and two of his colleagues in exchange for not relieving them from their block project manager (BPM) posts and for clearing pending travel allowance and other bills.
