All the chatter around Paul Anthony Kelly possibly being cast as DC’s next Batman, has reached his ears and the actor could not be any more excited. The hunk, who plays John F. Kennedy Jr. in ‘Love Story’, a new FX drama from Ryan Murphy, had the internet crushing over him and his old-Hollywood charm. The series even has quickly gained streaming traction following its premiere.

Fans of the DCEU, however, could not help but comment on Kelly’s striking resemblance to the classic comic-book version of Bruce Wayne. Many have described his features as a “Batman-appropriate jawline” and while others commented on, “the way he looks in a suit.”Rumours have since been swirling online that the actor could just beat out the current favourites to emerge as the frontrunner to play the Caped Crusader in DC Studios’ upcoming film ‘Superman: The Brave and the Bold’.

With audiences eager to see Kelly as the next Batman, the actor was asked to share his thoughts on possibly landing the role. Speaking to GQ, he said, “If that’s what they say, then who am I to say no?” he said with a laugh. “I mean, that would be a dream come true.”An official confirmation on the same is still awaited.

‘The Batman – Part 2’ goes into production

Meanwhile, fans waiting to see Batman on screen again, will have to wait until 2027 when Robert Pattinson swings back into action in ‘The Batman – Part2’. The film is currently in pre-production and will see Pattinson return as the iconic superhero in filmmaker Matt Reeves. Colin Farrell previously teased the movie would be “deeper” and “scarier” than its 2022 predecessor, though he admitted his role as The Penguin was “even smaller”.
