Winning treble for trainer Roy Rogers and jockey Jefferson Tsang and double for apprentice Natika Riordan

Trainer Roy Rogers and jockey Jefferson Tsang produced stand-out performances at the Albany races on Saturday, both finishing with a winning treble.

Rogers and Tsang were ready to go from the start with Head’em ($4.20) winning the Case IH Power & Precision Handicap (1100m).

Head’em was running in last before taking charge in the straight to win by nearly a length.

Crystalist ($5.50), also trained by Rogers and ridden by Jefferson, claimed victory in the Farmers Centre Harvest With Confidence Handicap (1100m).

The six-year-old settled midfield before hauling in early leader Fantaxtic ($4) in the final 100m to win by a nose.

Finally Rogers and Tsang wrapped up their winning streak for the day in race six with Reggio Calabria ($5.50) taking out the Specsplus Retired Jockeys Handicap (1000m).

Reggio Calabria was running in third on the home corner but sprinted strongly to win by nearly three lengths over Nailed’em ($3.20).

Jockey Natika Riordan also enjoyed a successful day in the saddle, riding a double.

Cruise To Rio ($3.60) trained by Tim Stone was ridden to victory by Riordan in the Everyone Needs A Steiger Handicap (1232m).

Riordan and Cruise to Rio were near last on the final corner but finished strongly to win by three quarters of a length.

The apprentice rider followed up with another win in the last race, the Have You Seen The New AF Combine Handicap (1900m).

Trained by Indianna Weinery, Sky God ($6.00) led throughout for Riordan to beat stablemate Pure Chino ($10) by a head on the line.

Back in the opening race, the TABtouch Same Race Multi Maiden (1500m) it was the Angela Smith-trained Great Deal ($6.50) that was booted home by local hoop Tash Faithfull as they claimed a dominant 1.6-length win.

The Farmers Centre Raised Red Maiden (1232m) was won by Cosmic Waltz ($5.00) from the Steve Wolfe stable with by Ava Catarino in the saddle.

Riordan was reprimanded by stewards for careless riding in race seven on Sky God.

Jockey Jessica Gray was fined $300 for having in her possession and using a race riding helmet that was in an unsatisfactory condition while Faithfull was fined $200 for failing to ride Flick The Switch out over the final three strides in race two.
