Vadodara: A 45-year-old man was bludgeoned to death in front of his son in the Gorwa area here in the wee hours of Tuesday. Police began a search for the two men accused and managed to catch one, Sohil Rana. His accomplice, Sandip Waghela, is still on the run. The victim, 45-year-old Amiji Ghanchi, ostensibly got into an argument with Rana near a paan stall in Gorwa on Tuesday night. Ghanchi walked away, and told his son, Arif about it. Arif told his father to go home, after which the victim left for his house. Rana and Waghela soon intercepted Amiji and struck him with a stick, in front of Arif. Amiji suffered grievous head injuries and died. Police are investigating the motive for the murderous assault.
