Kanpur: Exhibitions by Gliders India and Ordnance Equipment Factory under the Ministry of Defence, a flower show by the Horticulture department, artworks by the Fine Arts Department of CSJM University, an AI and VR-based exhibition by IIT Kanpur and folk programmes will be among the main attractions at the Bithoor Mahotsava, scheduled to be held in Bithoor from Feb 26 to 28.Minister-in-charge Yogendra Upadhyay will inaugurate the festival. Chairing a review meeting, DM Jitendra Pratap Singh here on Tuesday issued instructions to the departments concerned regarding security, traffic management, cleanliness, lighting, and coordination of stage programs. He said that the event should be well-organised, safe, and based on public participation.On the inaugural day, a performance on Bithoor theme song and Kathak dance performances by Bhopal Kathak Committee will add a cultural dimension to the event. In the evening, performance of Dr Palash Sen and Euphoria Band will be a special attraction.On Feb 27, local talents will be showcased through ‘The Battle of the Bands’ and ‘Kanpur’s Got Talent’.On Feb 28, there will be cultural programs by students, classical dance-music and a Charkula presentation based on Pai Danda, Punjabi Gatka and Braj Holi by the North-Central Cultural Center of Prayagraj. On the occasion of the Bithoor Festival, special roadways buses will be operated from Kanpur Nagar to Bithoor from 10am to 10pm.DM Jitendra Pratap Singh appealed to the general public to participate in the festival in large numbers and cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace, cleanliness and traffic system.
