Bengaluru: Several areas in east and south Bengaluru will face disruption in water supply Thursday.Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board will take up installation of EMF meters near Gottigere reservoir as part of Cauvery V Stage project. Affected areas: Whitefield, Nalluhalli, Siddapura, Nagondanahalli, Ramagondanahalli, Channasadra, Hoodi, Garudacharpalya, Doddanekkundi, Munnekolala, Kumaraswamy Layout, Poornaprajna Layout, Banashankari, Kollahalli, Anjanapura, Gottigere, Begur, Kodichikkanahalli, Kudlu, Kadugodi.

Pumps will shut down during the installation between 6am Thursday and 6am Friday, the water board said.Free bus travel for II PU candidatesTo help students appearing for II PU examination, KSRTC is offering them free travel in its city, suburban, ordinary and express buses from their houses to examination centres. Students must produce their admission ticket to avail the facility during the exam period from Feb 28 to March 17.
