Maharashtra NMMS Result 2026: The Maharashtra State Council of Examination, Pune, has released the Maharashtra NMMS Result 2026 for the academic year 2025–26. Students who appeared for the Class 8 scholarship examination can now access their results and the state merit list through the official portals.The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship examination is a yearly event that aims to identify academically talented students from the weakest economic sections of society and provide them with some financial assistance.After publishing the results on a state, wise basis, Maharashtra candidates can now obtain their scores, ranking and selection status through the online mode.Stepwise/ How to check Maharashtra NMMS Result 2026It is a simple process of one single click for the students to get their result. They only have to visit the official websites, mscenmms.in or mscepune.in. Once at the home page, they just have to find and click the link titled Maharashtra NMMS Result 2026 or NMMS Merit List 202526. The result will be either in the form of a merit list PDF.Details available on the scorecardCandidates should carefully verify the information mentioned in their result. The scorecard includes the student’s name, roll number, school name and code, and marks obtained in both MAT and SAT.It also mentions total marks, cut-off details, and the candidate’s rank at the state or district level. The final selection status—whether qualified or not—is also provided in the document.Scholarship scheme and eligibility criteriaThe NMMS scheme operates under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, and aims to reduce dropouts after Class 8. Selected students will receive a scholarship of INR 12,000 per year, equivalent to INR 1,000 per month, from Classes 9 to 12.To be eligible, students must have secured at least 55 per cent marks in Class 7. The annual parental income should not exceed INR 3.50 lakh. For Maharashtra, scholarships are allotted to the top 11,682 candidates based on their performance in the examination.Next steps after result declarationStudents whose names have been listed in the merit list are required to go for document verification at their respective schools.
