A man has been charged with the murder of a 13-week-old baby boy in the Kent seaside town of Ramsgate.
Tyla Wharmby, 24, of Prestedge Avenue, Ramsgate, has been charged with murder and causing grievous bodily harm.
Kent Police said the charges follow an investigation into the death of the infant in July 2022.
Emergency services were called to a property in Queen Street on July 15 after reports of an injured 13-week-old boy.
The baby was taken to QEQM Hospital in Margate but died later that day.
An inquest previously heard the child had suffered a head injury.
A man was arrested at the time and later released on bail while enquiries continued.
Mr Wharmby has now been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
