Dublin firm, Davis Experience and Events has acquired Louth company Whitelight Events in a deal that will see the creation of 10 jobs over the next two years.
It is the first such acquisition by Davis as it eyes expansion and growth. The Davis team works with global brands and corporate clients, delivering hundreds of internal events each year. These include high-profile occasions including Culture Night and Ireland’s New Year’s Festivals.
The company serves clients across the US, UK, mainland Europe and Canada. It currently employs 21 full-time staff and recorded turnover last year of €5m.
Whitelight Events was founded in 2012 by Con O’Donoghue and Karen Devine. It delivers events for a variety of clients, including the National Lottery, Fingal County Council, Local Enterprise Offices, the Department of Children, Disability and Equality, and Research Ireland.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, but it is understood that the acquisition was for a six-figure sum.

As part of the process, Nikki Tunney has joined Whitelight Events as business director. As part of the acquisition, Whitelight Events will relocate its headquarters to the Davis Experience and Events offices at Redmond’s Hill in Dublin city centre.
