Jaipur: Income Tax department Sunday concluded its multi-day search and seizure operation against business groups linked to Jaipur-based Kanha Restaurant and associated establishments, covering a total of 37 locations across Rajasthan, Mumbai and other cities. Officers said unaccounted assets of Rs 7.75 crore were seized during the raids, including Rs 7.5 crore in jewellery and Rs 25 lakh in cash. The raids, which began early Wednesday at 33 premises, were later expanded, with 2 locations added during course of investigation. Searches covered operators and business associates of popular food establishments, including Kanha Restaurant and Yo China in Jaipur, The Sierra and Sun & Moon in Udaipur, Ye Hai Jalwa in Kota, and Chawla’s-2 in Sriganganagar. “We seized gold worth Rs 7.5 crore and Rs 25 lakh in cash,” said an officer.
