HYDERABAD: As many as 22 passengers sustained minor injuries after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus lost control and overturned near Shyampur village in Adilabad district on Monday morning. The accident took place in Utnoor mandal when the bus, travelling from Adilabad to Asifabad, reportedly skidded while negotiating a narrow culvert and toppled into a dry streambed. There was no water flowing in the stream at the time of the incident. Police said the bus, belonging to the Asifabad depot was carrying 30 passengers. Of them, 22 suffered minor injuries due to the sudden impact. No fatalities were reported. Local residents and passersby rushed to the spot and helped in rescuing the passengers. Preliminary inquiries point to the narrow culvert and loss of vehicle balance as possible factors behind the mishap.
