Businessman cheated in parking plot deal

Ahmedabad: A city-based businessman alleged that he was cheated while trying to secure a parking plot for customers near his office in a commercial complex. The businessman filed a complaint for cheating and breach of trust with the Sarkhej police against an estate broker in Jan that was converted to FIR on Friday. The complainant stated that frequent parking difficulties at the business park prompted him to look for a dedicated parking space. a spot near the office, assuring that parking arrangements would be made below our office,” said the businessman.The complainant alleged that the broker demanded money for documentation and purchase of the parking plot. He stated in the complaint that payments of Rs 3.27 lakh were made, including Rs 3.01 lakh online.The complainant stated that he was assured that the possession of the parking would be given within about 1 month, but even after 4 to 5 months, the broker failed to do so. He sought a refund but was allegedly threatened by the broker.
