Raipur. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has made a big claim regarding Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. The ED has stated in the remand application in the court that Chaitanya used to work to make the black money received from the liquor scam to white. According to the investigating agency, the amount recovered of the scam was handed over to Dipen Chavda and Anwar Dhebar to Lakshmi Narayan Bansal alias Pappu Bansal, and used to give instructions of where, how and when to use it. The entire game was being run through the liquor scam syndicate.
The ED has said in the remand application that at the behest of Chaitanya, a sum of the scam was also given to the then PCC President Ram Gopal Aggarwal. As soon as the ED started raids and arrests, Aggarwal escaped. The ED is still looking for them.
The ED alleges that Chaitanya invested the earnings of about Rs 1000 crore from the liquor scam in different ways and tried to show it clean and clean property. The ED has described it as ‘money layering’. The investigating agency has also claimed that 80 to 100 crore rupees were also given to an alleged tantric KK Srivastava out of this recovered amount.

Speaking on the matter, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap said that Bhupesh Baghel’s government adopted several tricks to sell Chhattisgarh. Decisions were taken against the public in the state on the instructions received from ten Janpath in Delhi. He alleged that public money was looted through scams like liquor, Mahadev, PAC and DMF and now they are resorting to lies to prove themselves innocent.
Former CM Baghel arrived to meet his son
Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached the ED office in Raipur to meet his son Chaitanya on Sunday afternoon. The ED arrested Chaitanya on Friday after questioning and the court sent him on five days remand.
