Rishikesh. As soon as Shri Neelkanth Kavad Yatra begins, the influx of Shiva devotees arriving in Tirthanagri has started. With the increase in the number of devotees, there was also traffic jam in the city. Late in the evening, there was a huge jam on Haridwar-Rishikesh, Munikireti and Laxmanjhula road on the roads.
The next Monday is the first Monday of the Kandar Yatra, due to which the devotee has started arriving at Shri Neelkanth Mahadev for Jalabhishek. The crowd is likely to increase significantly on Sunday. On Saturday too, Shiva devotees were seen walking in groups on the roads since morning.
The process of arrival of Shiva devotees continued till night. At the same time, traffic management was difficult due to increasing pressure of vehicles on Rishikesh-Haridwar Marg, Munikireti, Laxmanjhula road. During this time, Rishikesh, Munikireti and Laxmanjhula police were engaged in implementing traffic management and law and order.
On foot, Shiva devotees are also jammed
Actually, the width of Rishikesh-Haridwar, Munikireti and Laxmanjhula road is limited. In such a situation, the roads are surrounded by roads in Shiva devotees, due to which the vehicles are not getting enough space to get out. Many drivers also played horn, but many youths did not appear to be ready to be shore by route. In such a situation, there is a jam.
