Chennai: TVK president Vijay on Friday said Madras high court order directing the registration of a case against minister K N Nehru amounted to a major blow for the ruling party and demanded that the DMK minister resign immediately or be removed from office.“This is yet another humiliation faced by the govt led by M K Stalin. DMK has failed to address corruption within its own rank,” he said.
Additionally, PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss hailed the high court’s order directing the DVAC to immediately register an FIR over allegations of a 888-crore scam in appointing 2,538 engineers and officials in the municipal administration and water supply department. In a statement on Friday, Anbumani termed the order a jolt to the ‘DMK corruption empire,’ predicting its collapse.
