Ludhiana: In view of the passenger rush during the upcoming Holi festival, at least two special trains that will pass through Ludhiana, to cater to the requirements of the city, particularly the city’s large migrant population, travel to their native places in other states to celebrate the festival with their families.Ferozepur Cantt-Danapur Reserved Special Express will run three trips from Ferozepur on February 26, March 2 and March 6, 2026, and from Danapur on February 27, March 3 and March 7, 2026. The train will pass through Ludhiana, halting at Ludhiana railway station with a scheduled reversal. The route covers major stations including Ambala Cantt, Moradabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction and Ara before reaching Danapur in Bihar.Another train Amritsar-Katihar Reserved Special Express will operate three trips from Amritsar on February 25, March 1 and March 5, 2026, and from Katihar on February 27, March 3 and March 7, 2026. The train will pass through the division and serve passengers travelling towards eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
