Aligarh: Ajay Yadav, a soldier posted at the Jwalapuri outpost in the police station Quarcy area, has been accused of molestation and indecency by a young woman. The woman says that the policeman had been harassing her by stopping her on the way for the last 3-4 months and threatened to shoot her father on protesting. On receiving information about the incident, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists reached Jwalapuri police post and closed the accused policeman and protested.
Police officers, who reached the spot, tried to convince the workers, but the ABVP workers filed a case against the accused policeman and remained adamant on demanding him to be dismissed. In view of the situation, a large number of police forces were deployed on the spot. The protesters have warned that their protest will continue till strict action is taken against the accused policemen.
