Ahmedabad: The State Examination Board announced the results of the common entrance test conducted for admission to Class 6 in Gyan Shakti residential schools, Gyan Shakti tribal residential schools, and Raksha Shakti schools, as well as for the chief minister Gyan Setu merit scholarship scheme. A total of 5.9 lakh students appeared for the exam, which was held on Jan 31.According to the declared results, only 27 students from 25 schools secured 109 marks out of 120, emerging as the top performers. Based on these results, the admission process and scholarship allocation will now be initiated. Admissions for tribal students into Gujarat State Tribal Education Society-run schools, including Eklavya Model residential schools and Sainik Schools, will also be granted on the basis of this exam. No separate entrance test will be conducted for these institutions.The results show that 743 students from 644 schools scored 96 marks or above (80%). Similarly, 4,397 students from 2,812 schools secured 84 marks or above (70%), while 14,289 students from 6,765 schools scored 72 marks or more (60%). Additionally, 37,519 students from 12,609 schools achieved at least 60 marks (50%), and 90,888 students from 20,469 schools scored 48 marks or above (40%).The merit list includes students scoring above 50 marks in the general category and above 45 marks for scheduled caste and scheduled tribe categories.
