The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will soon issue new bank notes of 100 and 200 rupees with the signature of Governor Sanjay Malhotra.
RBI gave this information on Tuesday. According to the bank, the design of these new notes will be the same as the current 100 and 200 rupee notes of the Mahatma Gandhi (New) series. Also, all the 100 and 200 rupees notes already in circulation will remain valid currency. Sanjay Malhotra took over as RBI Governor in December 2024, replacing Shaktikanta Das
