Abdul Rahman, a resident of Milkipur in Ramnagari Ayodhya, was in touch with the Hyderabad module of the terrorist organization IS. According to sources, IS handler Abu Sufiyan instigated him to attack the Ram temple. He was also training the youth on social media through dummy weapons, due to which he came under target of agencies.
Abdul Rahman was arrested from Faridabad in a joint action of Haryana and Gujarat Police. After this, UP ATS and central intelligence agencies raided his house in Milkipur, from where rocket launcher, AK-47, pistol, hand grenade dummy model, IS flag and terrorist literature were recovered. In view of his activities on social media, the Gujarat Police was constantly monitoring.
He was arrested as soon as he reached Faridabad on 4 March. The police suspected that he could carry out a terrorist attack in Delhi. The UP ATS team went to Faridabad and questioned him and now further action is going on.
