Karnataka transport unions set March 2 deadline over arrears

Bengaluru: Trade unions representing employees of state-run road transport corporations (RTCs) rejected the govt’s decision to release 26 months of salary arrears and revise wages with effect from April 1, 2025.Hundreds of employees participated in ‘Bengaluru Chalo’ protest at Freedom Park Thursday under the joint action committee of Karnataka State Road Transport Employees’ Unions. The unions set March 2 as the deadline for the govt to convene a meeting with their representatives and resolve the issues.
