2 minors, 3 others booked for attacking Class XII student

Ludhiana: The Shimlapuri police have booked two students of a private school in the city for attacking another Class XII student. It is alleged that the accused students had called their aides and attacked the victim after intercepting him after school was dispersed.While the accused students are said to be underage, the injured one is 18 years old. On the complaint of his father, the Shimlapuri police have registered a case against two students from the same school and their three accomplices.Inspector Jatinder Kumar, SHO at Shimlapuri police station, said that the accused were victim’s juniors at the school and had some arguments earlier as they were accusing each other of staring at them. On this minor matter, the accused called their three aides and intercepted the way of the victim when he was going home after school hours. The accused assaulted the youth and fled.The victim’s father said that the accused had used some sharp-edged weapons to attack his son and hehad suffered injuries on his head and near eye and got stitches too.The father added that according to his son, they never had any major fights. Though the accused had argued with him, accusing him of staring at them.
