For decades, she made people laugh, and after she passed away, tributes poured in from fans, friends, and fraternity members.The funeral service was small and private, with only her closest circle in attendance. Actress Kelly Lynch posted a photo from the funeral program, a young Catherine, grinning with that spark in her eyes, and shared a line from Raymond Carver that seemed to speak for everyone missing her: “And what did you want? Per PEOPLE, she passed away after a brief illness, and then, official records showed the cause was a pulmonary embolism, a blood clot that blocked her lungs. However, later on, rectal cancer was listed as an underlying condition, something she’d mostly kept private. The actress had been at home in Brentwood when she started having trouble breathing, and even with medical help, she passed away that same day.
