China has showed off a new generation of “kung fu robots” in an effort to showcase its technological might to the West.
In a broadcast on Chinese state TV for the country’s New Year festivities, the child-sized humanoids performed martial arts, parkour and breakdancing on stage.
Unitree, the robotics firm behind the machines, said it plans to build as many as 20,000 more robots this year.
Discussing the remarkable clip on GB News, host Ben Leo joked: “Look at the way he’s throwing that nunchuck about. You’re in trouble there.
“For me, that’s more than just propaganda. That’s a serious robotic force.”
Political analyst Eric Ham then warned the video “should be very concerning for the West”.
“Elon Musk has got to be sweating bullets because this is meant to be his next project,” he added.
